Dr. M. Arif Hashmi
Dr. M. Arif Hashmi earned his pre-medical degree at St. Patrick’s College in Karachi, Pakistan. He attended medical school at Dow Medical College in Karachi graduating in 1976 and completed his General Medical Residency at Civil Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Hashmi completed a Residency in Pathology at Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia. He completed both his Medical Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Cooper Hospital University Medical Center in Camden, NJ.
Dr. Hashmi is Board Certified in Internal Medical and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association, American Gastroenterology Association, S.J. Gastrointestinal Association, Medical Society of New Jersey, Camden County Medical Society, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America.
Dr. Hashmi is a past President of the Camden County Medical Society and a past nominating Delegate to the Medical Society of New Jersey. He has held positions in organizations such as the SJ Gastrointestinal Society and the American Cancer Society.
Dr. Hashmi is fluent in Italian and Urdo.
