DR. VERNE M. PINEDA
Dr. Verne M. Pineda earned his pre-medical degree at University of Santo Tomas, in Manila, Philippines, where he also attended medical school earning his medical degree in 1965. Dr. Pineda completed a rotating Internship at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, his Pathology Residency also at St. Joseph's and his Residency in Internal Medicine at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Drexel University (Medical College of Pennsylvania Veteran's Administration Hospital Philadelphia.
Dr. Pineda is licensed in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Camden County Medical Society, New Jersey State Medical Society and is a past Board Member and Chairman of the Board of the Philippine Medical Society of Greater Philadelphia. He is also a member of the Asian American Advisory Council. He is a past President of the University of Santo Tomas Medical Alumni Association Tri-State area and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Virtua Health System where he also served as Chief of the Department of Gastroenterology. He is a recipient of the Delaware Valley Most Outstanding Physician Award 1998, the Delaware Valley Most Outstanding Physician (Recognition Night) 1982 and the Person of the Year Award in 2000 for the Filipino American Military Association.
Dr. Pineda is fluent in Tagalog.
