DR. BRENDA VELASCO

Brenda R. Velasco, M.D., earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Rutgers University where she was active in research. She was awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation's Research Experience for Undergraduates Award two years in a row and she had multiple publications in both scientific journals and textbooks. She then attended medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY.

Dr. Velasco completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine, as well as her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastrointestinal Associate and the American Society of Gastroenterologic Endoscopy.
